The neighborhood offers a network of walking trails totaling approximately 1.7 km, laid out along the riverbanks and preserved natural areas. These trails have been designed to blend harmoniously into the landscape, highlighting the natural features that characterize the area. The trails offer residents privileged access to nature, directly from their neighborhood. They invite people to get active, relax, and enjoy the seasons in a peaceful and preserved environment.
A connected cycling network
Quartier Galia includes a 1.5 km bike path that connects directly to the regional cycling network. This makes it easy for residents to get around by bike, whether they want to head to downtown Saint-Philippe via Sanguinet Street or enjoy a ride through the neighborhood and surrounding area. This connection to the regional cycling network promotes an active lifestyle, while facilitating access to different areas of the municipality and surrounding trails.

The Saint-Jacques River runs through the Galia neighborhood for approximately 2.1 km, forming a central feature of the landscape. A key element of the neighborhood, it helps to create a distinctive natural environment, where water, vegetation, and riverside areas occupy a privileged place. In tribute to its discovery by Samuel de Champlain in 1611, the development of Quartier Galia was designed with a focus on preserving and enhancing its natural environment.
